Diabetes UK 2016

Research Fellow, William Hinton and MD student, Dr Andrew McGovern have presented posters on their research into the following areas:

  • Real world evidence on the disparities in prescribing of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors in UK primary care
  • “Real world evidence on the prescribing trends of glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists in UK primary care”
  • “Real world evidence on the prescribing trends in sodium glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors in UK primary care”
  • “Poor glycaemic control is associated with higher serum triglyceride levels in clinical practice”

This research was undertaken in the Section of Clinical Medicine and Ageing with Eli Lilly, and the Royal Surrey County Hospital.
